Mark has been an IT professional since 1985 during which time he has worked for many prestigious companies including ICL, AT&T, Misys and Powergen/EON.
Career highlights:
- July 2007 to present: Specializing in Website Design and Development.
- November 1995 to June 2007: Provided IT Consultancy Services to Powergen (& later, EON); Successfully delivered new pre-billing systems required for privatisation in 1998.
Later led a small team responsible for enhancements and maintenance of everything relating to Electricity Data Flows from cross-company communications
through to registration, agent appointment and consumption processing. Acquired expert knowledge of PL/SQL packages and procedures whilst working on these Oracle based applications.
- August 1992: Promoted to Senior Systems Analyst, which involved managing a small team and managing projects.
- March 1991: Promoted to Senior Analyst which involved supervising development activities, liaising with customers and the production of technical designs.
- October 1989: Joined AT&T ISTEL and worked on the development and maintenance of several VIEWSHARE products.
- August 1985: Joined ICL and worked on COBOL applications.
